They don't always survive the crash or fire. Also, aircraft need to be made of relatively lightweight materials. Finally, taking into perspective how many aircraft fly and how long the airframes stay airworthy, there's little reason to change the design. There are still many fabric covered aircraft out there flying just fine.

Remember the so called black box is not black but bright orange. It is a well insulated metal box filled with recording equipment. It has no fuel and completely sealed to the outside. Its weight for its size would never be able to fly. Like a fire proof safe you would have in your home. Just too heavy to be a bird.

the blk box is relly heavy and if they made the plane out of tht it will not be able to fly because for example a boeing modelf 747 weights 22 tons if itm were made out of the blk box it would be like 100 plus tons plus if it made it in the air nobod could be on it or it would never get airborne

well technically u can make almost anything indestructable
just patch on 6 meters of iron plating
if u can do that to an airplane great
but wat's the point?
the airplane survives the crash but all the passengers have become a human jam

The reason why the black box is indestructible is because it is small and tough. No matter how tough something is, if it is too big it will be destroyed. If you ram a 747 jet into a lunch pale it will be fine. However it you ram it into a large building it falls over.

Weight management is it, in this context. The plane wouldnt fly if its made fully from the blax box material.
I like the way u think though.
Cheers!

Think about if the material would be suitable in flying in the air and holding a lot of weight.
