...off the top of my head, I remember at least one most dynamic version of what you describe; in the 1986 thriller, "F/X"; in the scene, a special effects artist, Tyler, is fighting off an assassin/hitman, sent to kill him, because of something he saw/heard. After subduing the assassin with a well placed frying pan, Tyler handcuffs his hands behind his back, and turns to call the police. With Tyler's back turned, the assassin comes to, stands up, and tries to pull his handcuffed hands from behind his back, and past his legs; Tyler turns around, sees what the assassin is doing, drops the phone, and proceeds to rush the assassin. Before Tyler can get to him, the assassin quickly jumps up, brings his cuffed hands past his legs, and resumes the fight with Tyler, in the kitchen. After more scuffling and pummeling, the assassin tries to burn Tyler on one of the oven burners; Tyler eyes the flames, but then also eyes the iron sitting on the oven counter. Reaching for it, Tyler bashes the assassin upside the head; when the killer falls to the ground, Tyler continues to strike the assassin with the iron several times, using the pointed blunt end of the iron...
