Forget about the taxes--what if you get hurt? There will be no record of you, no workers compensation insurance, nothing.

As for the taxes, getting paid in cash is probably okay. If you make less than $8000 a year, you won't owe any taxes anyway. But your boss will. That will be his problem.

Start your work life off right. Find a job with an honest employer. If he would cheat the government, why wouldn't he cheat you?

It is likely a violation of the law for the employer to pay you without declaring you as an employee to the IRS. It is a violation of the law for you to not report your income to the IRS.

There may be a violation for your employer's failure to provide workers' compensation insurance for you.

None of the above violations would necessarily result in criminal charges, though the whole tax fraud thing could.

You've got to be an illegal ! of course it's against the law not only for you but, your cheap as_ employer, that's why there's so damn many illegals in this country because of employers like yours. if I knew who it was I'd personally turn them into "ICE" and the "Internal Revenue Service" the employer and you are cheating the Federal Government out of the Federal Taxes, that why decent law obeying citizens have to pay so much because of dead beats like you and your employer!

It's illegal.
At 15, you'd probably only be on the hook for the taxes,
but your employer could be in all kinds of trouble.
