You could start with the legendary K&R text, "The C Programming Language" by Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie. This text is well known in computer science circles.
Also, another book to consult is "C: How to Program" by Deitel and Deitel.
These are good books to have in your technical library.

that is one of the most boring things i have ever done...that and C+, C++. please do not waste your time. the most you'll learn after completing C++ is how to move a mouse (hamster) in a blue room (2D!!!!!!!!!).
