What is a website where I can check to see if a company name is already incorporated?

I'm trying to think of a name for my new internet business but need to see if it's already a corporation or LLC. Does anyone know where I can look online to find that information free?

2. check your state's website for for corporation registration; most now have a name checker that's part of the process.
