I have the card, do i just plug it into my computer and go to a location that offers free WiFi service?

After putting the card in check your computers devices and make sure the card is registering. On a windows you would then look on the bottom left for a SINGLE minature computer monitor. Double click that and click "View Wireless Networks". If your card is properly installed into your computer you will see a lsit of wireless networks.

You need to load the software if it did not come loaded from the factory or store.

install its driver. and then go to any wifi area. and choose a network. and connect to it.
