Well, I don't think equality means that a woman will walk all over a man. To me it means that I have an equal say. I matter. I have to compromise and he has to compromise. We respect each other. I don't think it is easy and men and women are not the same and should never feel pressured to be the same. I think equality is being brave enough to decide that neither person is number one.

This is a loaded question but I do believe that it is somewhat inaccurate. I also believe that other parallels need to be drawn to prove this point.
For starters, I believe that the majority of women only want true equality. They want to be compared to the men based on their abilities - not their sex. But these changes don’t just happen. In order for change like this to occur, sometimes it is necessary to make some waves.
Let’s look back at Martin Luther King, JR. Let’s even go further back and look at the Americans who fought in the Revolutionary War. In each case, injustices were being exposed but, if action was not taken, nothing would have changed.
What would the United States be like today if we did not rebel against the British Government for taxation without representation? We were 2nd class citizens to the British Government. We did not deserve the same rights and same respect as the British subjects in England did because we were just the “colonists”. I can assure you that there were several British officials who believed that we did not deserve equal rights and they despised the “colonists” who made waves.
Martin Luther King, Jr. also had a peaceful message demanding equality for all skin colors. Many insecure Americans refused to believe that the black man could anything as well as the white man. They did not deserve equality. If he did not stage his peaceful march, if Rosa Parks did not drink from the white man’s drinking fountain or refuse to sit in the back of the bus, would the blacks have the same opportunities today ?
The issue or women’s rights is much the same. Women have proven themselves to be just as competent as men in most areas of business and leadership. Here in the United States, it has become a standard that women leave the home to enter the workplace. The traditional family unit (where the man works and the woman stays home and tends to the home and family) is a rarity now.
With that said, why doesn’t a competent woman deserve the same pay and the same opportunities as her male counterparts? Why doesn’t a member of a minority race deserve the same pay and the same benefits and considerations as a white man in our society?
Fyouimatwirp would have you believe that women do not deserve equal treatment because:
“They don’t have to hard labor like men do” (There are many female laborers who work as hard, if not harder, than their male counterparts.)
“They get maternity leave and then the men have to fill in for them..
Isn’t it their own fault to begin with” What about the women who have already raised their kids? What about the women who choose not to have kids? What is your point here?
“They make the men lift heavy things, and do this and that for them... They cant cut it... so why should the men help em' out?” Does this mean that they cannot be effective administrators or CEO’s? How many male CEO’s can’t lift heavy objects and have to ask for help?
I actually believe that Fyouimatwirp is just trying to rile some feathers but the points that he brings up are excellent examples of why women do not get equal pay and equal opportunity.
Now to get back to the point of the question, “Feminists think that they’re better than men and should rule the world”. While I agree that there are many feminists out there who harbor ill-feelings towards their male counterparts, I believe that most feminists are only fighting for true equal opportunity and equal pay.
Just like most blacks were only looking for equal rights, some were more vocal about it and turned people off. There are some feminists who also go to far and turn people off. I still believe that most feminists only want the equality that they are entitled to and should receive.
Women have already proved that they can be very effective and respected world leaders and CEO’s. It is time for America to stop fighting it and give them the equality they deserve.
I will now step off of my soap box.

Some women think they deserve to walk all over a man, but the majority of feminists would just like a fair shake. I don't think women are better than men, but I don't think they are worse either.
Some men think they deserve to walk all over a woman, but I think the majority of men don't.
Some people think that if women strive for equality, they're trying to take things away from men. And I know in our society, we're often taught to compete with each other. But I think it's time we learned how to share. I think sharing opportunities is different from ruling the world.

It is a proved fact that women and men think different(studies done using MRI's and PET scans). Women are better than men when it comes to detail of small objects, Men are better than men when it comes to handling stress and physical activities. We are just different and being equal is not mentally or physically possible. Yes, if you let a strong willed woman, she will walk over you. If a man did the same thing he would be looking at a fat lip. I do not associate with that take pride in "getting in your face" or think she is superior. If a woman does not respect me, I sure as hell am not going to respect her or have her in my company.

The hottest sex I've ever had in my life was with a man who loved to lock horns with me. We'd debate everything under the sun and when he got in a good shot I could laugh at myself and when I got in a good shot, he could laugh at himself.
A woman suggesting that her ideas are as good/reasonable/worth of consideration as a man's does not think women are better, she thinks women should get to have an opinion. The question is not, "Is a woman's idea better than a man's" but "Is THIS SPECIFIC idea better than THAT SPECIFIC idea." Women are bolder now and are ready to put their ideas on the table and ask men if they've got a better suggestion on how to improve the world.
A strong man with a good heart can tell the difference.

Feminism is a tactic of divide and rule used by the ruling elite of this planet to control us the masses. Men are weak sexually, women are weak emotionally. Feminism is the ultimate tool of control to be used by the ruling elite. Women will control men through the mans sex drive, whilst the ruling elite control the woman through her emotions. Men must be made to feel guilty (about everything!!) bowing down to the woman and eventually worshipping her. The woman will have contempt for such a man. The ruling elite will then control the woman through her emotions encouraging her to be totally abusive and disrespectful to the man. The man will be the slave, the woman will be the overseer. The man who wrote the linked article is either working for the ruling elite pushing their agenda forward - or more likely an unsuspecting pawn. As stated men are weak sexually, women are weak emotionally. The purpose of marriage is for the man to protect the woman from being manipulated and exploited through her emotions. Whilst the woman protects the man from being manipulated through his sex drive. The man and woman make a team protecting each other. That is why it is so important to the ruling elite that they destroy marriage. It is difficult to understand feminism in isolation. This is like a jigsaw puzzle. You cannot look at one piece of a jigsaw and figure out the entire puzzle. You must look at other pieces to get the entire picture. A great place to start to understand who the ruling elite are and how they operate (and how much they hate us) is to Google "Federal Reserve Scam" or "Federal Reserve Deception" then start putting the pieces of the jigsaw together

Women like this are trying to be men in a sense. Women are not the same as men, and it is folly to pretend so. There are unique provisions that must be made for women, but this is also so in different areas for men. Men and women should complement each other, not antagonize. There needs to be balance, not "equality."
The modern economy requires women to work AND care for children, while men must merely work and then come home and expect women to cater to their needs as if the women were the 1950's model of stay-at-home mom. this is no longer the case. Adaptation must occur in all areas.

i think you are wrong. women do not think they are better than men they just want to have equality in daily things like chores, work, childcare etc. usually a man rules so yes it would be nice for a women to be in charge. also usually a man has the last word and rule over women. also, do you think that a women's job is to only cook and clean!?

and by the way..I can lift some pretty heavy stuff...i just dont have the endurance to keep it lifted for as long as some men do.
Example...A big chair...I can lift it and carry it over my head further than my uncle...but not as far as my father.

Really?
Most men's idea of equality seems to mean they will walk all over a woman.?
why so many masculinist think there better then women and that they should rule the world, im all for equality but masculinist seem to think equality means man are better.
If women thought this way, what would you say?
Have no problem with looking up to men, but just don't make the mistake of underestimating or patronising us.
