How long until man or woman walks on Mars?
Do NASA have a estimated time on when this could happen,if at all?

They have no real timetable for a trip to Mars but I think if it does happen it would not be before the year 2030. A trip to Mars would be extremely difficult. The astronauts would be gone a minimum of three years and the just getting there would take like 8 months. Living there would be very hard on those that make the trip. It's very cold (a warm day is 25 below zero) and they are now saying that even the dust in the Martian atmosphere may contain arsenic which is poisonous to humans. Live there would be very dull. You couldn't go outside without a space suit and you'd be stuck there for a very long time. A return trip has to be timed just right. A medical emergency for one of the astronauts could mean certain death which is why they may have to send a doctor along. All in all I'd rather go to the Moon. The conditions are no better but at least you'd get to look up and see the Earth. I'm sure it's an awe inspiring sight.

You got it right in the question: when it *could* happen. It's unfortunately politicized. The plans were made so that Bush could try to look like a visionary; they're going to be scrapped so that some senator can get a different porkbarrel with the money.

For most space exploration, robots are a better choice. To send people, you have to send a lot of supplies. If it's anything farther than the moon, you also have to send a lot of radiation shielding. All that weight costs a lot to launch, which would be better spent on a whole lot more measuring instruments. But sending people is flashier for the politicians to propose.

In about 2020 people will be on their way to Mars. As the voyage will take about nine months to get to Mars they will travel when Mars is at opposition or closest to Earth. With the return journey again it would again have to take place at opposition which could mean that the astronauts would need to live on Mars for several months before leaving the planet. This is to make the return trip as short and safe as possible.

NASA plans to construct moonbases by 2024 with an unspecified timeline after that for manned missions to explore Mars.

The European Space Agency plans a manned Mars mission around 2033.

Russia is considering a manned Mars expedition around 2016-2020.

apparently in 20 years time the first manned space mission to mars will be sent out.
if no life is found they will begin a process of changing mars into the sort of planet we are able to live on.
they will inject greenhouse gases into it's atmosphere to raise the temperature.
the ice will melt into water and if all goes well in 100 years they will start planting trees which give off oxygen.
i don't know how long the trees will take to turn all of mars into an oxygen rich planet but we might be able 2 live there in 150-200 years im guessing?

i'm guessing even martians does not walk with precise arm and precise leg lifted on the comparable time. it is likewise not likely this became made by skill of organic motives. It seems too state-of-the-paintings for this. in all likelihood to be a statue made by skill of yet another species, or ourselves from previous civilizations.

I'd say only if life is found on mars.

btw. why would we try to "terraform" mars, to hold an earth like atmosphere if it doesn't have a magnetic field to protect it.

that would be way to difficult.
