I was just thinking about my trip to Auburn in Alabama. A few years ago I went there for spring break with my fiance. In the hotel parking lot, walking down the street and in the stores.. men would always say "hello" to me. Or "how are you today?" I thought they were just checking me out! My fiance says that's how they are in the south.

Is this just normal?

I live in a small-mid size city in WV. People here walk by you in the street without even looking at you. I kind of like it this way.

Yes, they're very polite and understanding people! I've been there before! I was visiting my cousins, but now they live up here in Ohio with me!

I'm from Alabama about 2 hours north of Alburn.Yes it's normal for men down here to greet you and be extremely polite but at the same time some are actually hitting in you too and I think it's great.

No. Its not. They jump in front of you for parking spaces. They won't speak sometime if they are spoken to. No such thing as turn signals. Are you sure you were in Alabama?
