I live on Long Island, so that is probably a good reason. I don't drink milk, only cook with it.... my daughter is on forumla and I spend more then $200 a month on that... I understand the farmers have to pay more... but the goverment is at fault. This is rooted from OIL and we all know who is right behind that earning some pretty pennys

It's $2.30 in Chicago. Sometimes there is 2 for $3.00 sale. The price has gone up, but it's not too bad. You can't expect prices to stay low forever.

Before you start blaming government, perhpas you should look around and see how much oil and gas your family is using up.

Milk is not always $4.00. It really depends on the store. You can get 2 gallons for $5.00 at Safeway sometimes. And Fry's has milk on sale for $1.97 sometimes too. I bet you can get milk for $3.99 at Circle K usually. But I live in Arizona, so maybe we just get milk cheaper here. Its not like they are running out of cows or milk anywhere.

Go to Safeway.com. In my zipcode 85225, milk is only $3.00. So you are incorrect. It is not over $4.00. :-)

I had to do something because I could no longer afford, Kroger, safeway and albertsons.. I now shop at Walmart and really do save thirty to eighty percent....for the same brands yes, same brands,, just go early and you miss the fat ladys..

I also agree with riverman above, I stopped drinking milk years ago..bad stuff..

We pay average $1.80 per litre.
There are 3.7 litres in a gallon so we are paying $5.40 a gallon.
That's Australian dollars, so if your dollar gets 1.2 Australian dollars, I think that makes milk quite a bit cheaper for you guys!
Unless I have it completely back to front!

The answer would be to go live in a 3rd world country like Mexico. 11 pesos per dollar! hey! You can't beat that! :)

Indeed, let's all get to root of 'unfair':
Eg: I know it is unfair, but it's the law.
So then, if law is CRAP, FLUSH IT.
When you do, things will get better.
Ppl always feel better after a flush.

Grace is never unfair.
Grace is sufficient,
but only if no law is added.
For law makes grace "no more grace",
kinda like death makes life no more life.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I paid $2.40 for a gallon just a few days ago. It may be more where you live.
