What makes you feel good when you do it? And I don't mean sexual. I know all of us parents like to say "watch our kids play sports, or play with the kids in the bakyard" etc. but what do YOU do for YOU that makes you feel good. How did you learn your hobby?

I collect coins. It doesn't have to cost me a lot. I can go to the bank and pick of a box of coin (whichever denomination you like) for exactly face value. I can go through and pull out the better ones (there are books to help with this or websites).

The coins that I don't want can be returned to the bank and put straight back into my account (though it's often better to return the coins to a different bank (not just a different branch but a different bank) so that I don't search the same boxes over and over).

Some things to search for: wheat pennies, silver dimes, silver quarters, old coins, error coins, etc.

my hobbies are crocheting and beadwork. Beadwork I learned from a friend when I was 20. Crocheting I learned from my mom when I was five and again when I was 26. The fact that I can take thread or yarn and crochet it into something beautiful to wear or display is awesome, the same with beadwork, I can take string and beads and make something pretty is just too cool

Apart from getting pissed and sexual related things, my favorite hobby is Trampolining. I learned it by going 2 a center that specializes in it. I think it's a great hobby 2 learn, and as well as being a lot of fun it is also very beneficial and is great exercise.

Model Railroading... designing, building, operating... REDESIGNING and REBUILDING to correct mistakes !! I learned the basics when I was 9-13 from my Dad, I've been building models ever since (semi-professionally). When I started back into Model Railroading again at 40... I learned new things from the hobby-magazines, books, other hobbyists, and trial and error.

Cooking... learned from my Mom when I was 7-18, and have been cooking ever since. I learn from books, magazines, and the Food Network.

I collect GI Joes, draw and write on my blog, short stories, comics for myself & all sorts of geekiness. I have this hobby from my dad's love & support - he grew up on a small farm in a small town and worked hard all his life. He always nurtured my imagination, my artistic ideals, and wanted me to follow my dreams.

I'm not a successful artist, but my dad still loves me, watches me and smiles at me from the sides. He's always hoping one day I'll have a gallery show again & be making money with my dreams. I work as a teacher, and that makes him proud too.

My hobbies make me smile & my family makes me happy. I always hope for a little more lusk in my dreams and to one day be paid to do what I love moreso than what I can do well.

Always,

Jaime

I love postcards and stamps, and I learned about this free website that lets people send and receive postcards from all over the world, mainly Finland, Germany, Netherlands, USA, and Japan, but sometimes other countries.
