I need about 9 days worth of ideas and have about five. Does anyone know of some new creative mask ideas or templates that would be fun and easy for a six year old to do. I have about an hour with them each day.

Thanks for your help.

I also would love ideas for simple puppets as well. You can only do so many paper bag puppets :)

u can stick with the ole trusty paper plate (sun, mouse{add balloons for ears}..piggie...etc)

paper mache--over 1/2 a balloon. pop cut holes- messy but fun

mardi gras-- buy the lil plastic "eye" masks...and let them glue on feathers and sparkles...(don't let em sniff the glue...or EAT it if using paste...lol)

make fly eyes out of empty styrofoam egg cartons (2 egg sections)...pipe cleaners for ear attach..and antennae....glitter / sequin or paint outside...the tunnel effect mimics flies compound eyes

check out the sites i have linked...i am SURE u will find PLENTY!!....good luck better you than me!....
and a BIG FAT KUDOS to you for expanding the creativity of a child!!

you could do the "facial-type" masks that peel off in one whole piece...would be funny seeing all gooped up!..LOL...kidding

GOOD LUCK!!

Go to the Halloween store and buy those clear mask and the decorate with markers. Find a store that sells old hockey goalie masks, add streamers, paper cut outs. Use mask like the old Zoro had an add feathers to it or fabric cloth that looks like zebras, tigers, lions.
As for puppets what about the an old sock.Or wood clothes pins and some string and cotton balls.

Get plastic masks and have the kids spread lard all over them. Then make a mixture of newspaper, flour and water and have them cover the mask.

It's fun, it's messy and OH so fun!
