You need to go deep sea to catch them & also not all the time they will appear depending to which state/country you're living.
It's either late night or early morning.
It's much easier for you to just buy them off market.

The best way to get anchovies is to send a friend to get pizza.
Tell them that you do not care what type of pizza toppings you want except no anchovies. Within 30 minutes you will have anchovies.

Off the west coast of south america with a net and a trawler. Put the net into the water and drag it behind the trawler through a school of anchovies.

Make a cup with your hands when someone is throwing them and place your hands under the anchovies.
