i can get but with a basic printer, i print mostly documents...recently i said the hell with new ink cartridges, i can can a new decent printer for the same price...suppose i'm screwing the enviroment putting so many printers in the trash, eh?

I have purchased 2 printers cheaper than it is to buy the ink cartridges. It is cheaper and I have a new printer and updated at that. I was wondering if I was the few that did that.

Why not just buy compatibile ink cartridges that don't cost like the ones the printer manufacturers sell.
Simply search for inkjet cartridges and you'll find hundreds of companies selling them for reasonable prices.
Saves all that uninstalling and installing printer drivers and keeps you from being fined for putting the printer in the trash, which will happen in most areas if you were to get caught doing it.

I refill mine...
I bought a gallon of Epson ink back in 1999 and still have half...
It cost less then a dollar to fill it this way...
The color I buy by the quart and still have plenty of that too..
I have replace a couple of printers since then to upgrade to better print quality but I stay with the same brand so I can use the same kind of ink...Joe

I bought a lexmark scanner/ printer/ copier from walmart for like $80 and the cartridges are only $20 so it wouldn't be prudent for me to throw it away
