It broke my heart, I have watched OLTL since I was a baby practically and have always loved Asa and his wonderful portrayer Phil Carey. He is doing better though and I hope he has many years ahead of him.

Today's episode was very sad. I have watched OLTL since 1969, so I remember when he came on the show. The song, Gone, by Jessica Riddle, almost brought me to tears.

I loved Asa to, I couldn't believe how they rushed his death, telling people, and then the funeral all in one episode, he deserved much better then that. But one thing, it was so great to see 5 of the former actors though.

Today was the first I have watched it this summer and was saddened to see that Asa had died. I t was good to see some of the older ones return however, especially Max.

It was sad but I was very disappointed in the show. They needed to do more to honor Phil Carey like have a huge funeral and people giving eulogies and all that.

i cried, i loved asa, he was a spitfire!!!i would haved loved a cross story between the chandlers and buchanans battling for corporate supremacy, but only if that would have happened about 7 years ago when both characters were in their prime.

It was so sad and I actually cried. It comes in second to when Luna died. I bawled for days after that one.
