Well, if you have an actual reason to stay out of jury duty you can just report that to the court, and they'll decide if it's a good enough reason. Being a stock trader isn't a good enough reason.
If you decide that you just want to abandon your civic responsibility try and make sure that you're not caught, if you are you could receive a hefty fine and a police escort to the court to make sure you actually do come.

ummmm, lemme see, since u havta show up at the time specified anyway by law, then I suggest following George Carlin's answer on how to get out of it....after role is taken, immediately raise your hand and say Judge, I am the best thing that ever happened to a jury in your court because I can spot a guilty party (finger in mouth and "pop" sound comes out) a mile away...and you'll be excused in a heartbeat.
Stock trader or school bus driver, it doesn't matter...you've been chosen, now go...hey think of it this way, they havta pay you for as long as you're there and mileage if its a ways from where you live.

During the selection process you be sure that you tell the lawyers that you are a racist and that you think that the death penalty should be applied to petty crimes. Then tell them that you are a pathological liar and that you cannot be trusted. Or throw a shoe at the judge. I'm sure that any of these will work.
Oh... then there is always the option to stop sniveling about your job, man up and go do your civic duty.

Everyone, if summoned to jury duty, is legally required to go. You could even be fined $1,000.

When do people have to do jury duty? Nobody ever called me. And yes, I am American.

say you're completely biased and your mind has been influenced by the media coverage on the case, even if there isn't any. tell them you have no way to be truly fair because of personal experience (which is completely true because if you got stuck with actual trial, you would be so distracted that you couldn't be fair)
or...seriously, call the phone #, explain your reasoning and see if there's an easy way to avoid duty w/o penalty.
