I actually don't think it is...if you ask me..sending that one woman up who was the stand in or replace for the one woman that did die..Its like a hollywood tragic storyline. You know...I hope they do come down safe but I have a feeling it wont.

If it wasnt theyd say so. They only have 3 shuttles out of 5 operational now. The other 2 are HUGE gas guzzlers & they hate to use em. So the shuttle they're using now is one of the more efficient ones & they dont want to loose it until they retire the shuttles.

There has ALWAYS been damage to the tiles & they make it back. However on columbia the damage was on the "outer edge" of the wing, leaving the whole wing exposed. If theres a hole under the bottom in the center of the shuttle the heat just kinda passes over it & not through it like on columbia. So that gives em a little room to breathe.

What is going on at NASA? When I saw TV images of the damage done to the undercarriage of the shuttle I shuddered and thought "not again". I think everyone on Earth will be praying when the shuttle returns home... I hope safely.....

They won't know until they spacewalk out to look at the damage. I think they could be in serious trouble. The last disaster happened because "foam" hit the bottom of the craft taking tiles with it. This was huge chunks of ice. I will be you this, if they are not absolutely sure that it's safe, that teacher is staying in the space station until a safer shuttle arrives. They don't want another dead civilian to explain.

I'm worried about them coming back home, NASA has made bad judgment calls before. As of today the 17th of Aug. NASA said it's a go to come home. I think they will be home on Wednesday the 22, I'll be watching the tv, and hoping all gos well.

I am more concern, with what will NASA, tell the Astronauts. I for one, wish they would stop going up there.

They wouldn't tell us. They'd tell the crew to go ahead with the planned repair. You have to listen to/read the ENTIRE story, not just the exciting parts.
