My husband and I have 6 children now and lately I have been thinking about another baby but haven't talked to him yet. I only hesitate because I'm approaching 38 but I think I'm ready for another. Any thoughts, esp. from mothers in their 30's?

Go for it! Every baby is a blessing and big families are wonderful. My mother had her fifth child, my little brother, when she was 40. We wouldn't trade him for anything.

Lots of people will tell you there are increased risks for "older" mothers but don't let that discourage you. Embrace life and take what comes. God will bless you for it.

Honey if you wont another one go for it.. even though your 38 you can still have a baby...

Nancy grace is in her 40's and shes having twins!

So age shouldnt matter if your up to it and you wont it..babies are blessings and very special and theres nothing like it in the world!

Congrats on having 6 kids..alot of women couldn't handle that many.

Go for it! We had one baby when I was 20, one at 30, and one at 41. I would have had more in between but I guess this is the way God wanted it! It is super having a baby in our 40s, and big brother and sister cherish her too. Best wishes! And don't worry too much about those risks they scare you with. I had a Level 2 ultrasound that showed she was perfectly healthy, and the same day my regular doctor called and said my bloodwork showed an increased risk of downs syndrome and I needed amnio. I said "um, I just had a perfectly normal high-resolution ultrasound," and he said "oh, OK! Never mind!" She is perfectly healthy in every way and I can't imagine what we ever did without her.

i think its GREAT that u are having six/seven kiddies. what are their ages/sexes if i may ask?
definetly go for another. if u can handle six, u can probably handle 7. my mom has had only one child (me) and im 14 yrs old and a boy. a few months ago she & boyfrend decided they wanted a baby of their own so they tried and got pregnant but they found out it was triplet!! i was like so amazed i was shocked that my mom was going to squeeze out one more kid let alone 3! and i think that she might want to have more after these but im not sure. lol u definetely should and have as many more as u possibly can kids i think r a blesing

wow congrats on having that many children! that is so cool. not something everyone can handle but if you want more and your husband is up to it go for it. as long as your healthy the age shouldn't be a problem.

i think it is a really good age to have kids, but you need to start thinking economically too, do you have enough time and money to give that new boy or girl all the things that a new born needs? talking about the age, you are still young enough, you wont have any porblems

as long as you have insurance and we arent paying for your welfare checks.....have a 100 more for all we care. ALso how can you have quality time with all the children? arent they kind of missing out a little...think about the children you do have....do they have all they need from you that they can afford to lose your attention to have another baby>?
