for the hcg to come in ure body and to show up on a blood test. i have a blood test on monday. but i think that i had an early miscarriage bc it said positive and then i started bleeding 5 days before my period and then it was negative. so idk. please help. and one more thing. can you get pregnant if you have sex while on your period just wondering?

yes you can get pregnant if you have sex while on your period. You may have had a miscarriage, it is really really common so don't feel bad, or like you did anything wrong. 50% of all first pregnancies actually end in miscarriage... most women don't even know they were pregnant, which probably would have been you had you not taken the test.
Just so you know you will be more fertile for the next three months. I was in the same situation and I got pregnant before I got my next period and I'm 30 weeks now.
To answer your first question, hcg shows up when the embryo implants into the wall of the uterus, usually 5-7 days before you would normally get your period.

it depends everybody's hormones levels are different, but you may have lost the baby( not trying to be mean just being honest) or it could also be implantation bleeding if you were only like a week pregnant. Also you CAN get pregnant while on your period. you can get pregnant even before or after your ovulation period because when a man ejaculates inside you his sperm can live in your body for up to 10 days(average is 5-7 days) well i hope everything turns out to be the best for you! good luck and hope your OK the only way to really make sure your OK is to see your doctor if you did have an early miscarriage you need to make sure everything is out or you could get an infection. good luck Hun.

You can get pregnant while having sex on your period - trust me, personal knowledge, and you can get pregnant on birth control, again, trust me I know. When you go Monday for you blood test, they will be able to tell you what your levels are. A normal female has a natural hcg level of 10. Anything above that probably indicates pregnancy. My last baby I had a blood test on a Thursday, my levels were 20, on Monday they had gone up into the 200's. Good Luck - I hope this helps!

You may have had what my doctor called a blighted ovum. I had it happen last year. I got one pos test very early but then my period started a few days late and got a neg test. It happens all the time but most people never know, they just assume there period was late if it was even late at all. Take another test in a week or so to make sure but that would be my guess as to what happened.
If you happen to ovulate close to your period or during you could get pregnant.
