Can parasols be used for rain?

Well neither of the previous two ladies gave a general answer, here's a more technical answer. Most parasols are made of a very thin fabric, almost like a mesh. Secondly, they're not waterproofed, nor are they woven tightly enough to keep rain out. Stick to a good old fashioned umbrella

No, that's umbrellas. Parasols are for sun. para=for sol=sun

I don't think so because isn't it light and thin?
