My former foster parents used to see us watch a movie & ask, "How many times have you seen this?! You must've watched this thousand times!" Now that I'm on my own, I have loads of DVD's I've bought & have never watched. What a waste, right?

Yeah, it's better to rent the DVD instead of buying it....

I do the same. It's kind of a waste. I only end up watching it at most 2 times. oh well. I could spend all my life watching the movies so it wont' be a waste but that will only make my social life more pathetic.

I agree. I consider it a waste too. However I have given DVD movies for gifts when I didn't know what else to get.

That's why I only buy DVD's I know I am going to watch a lot. My favorite movies and also my favorite TV show.

I watch all my movies often~I don't have cable.I only buy movies I really enjoy.A large selection of older movies.

I suppose a shelf full of DVD's looks good. I know my shelf full of books looks good. Same premise.
