I'm going to audition for my school play -- The Wizard of Oz. I'm looking for the perfect one-minute monologue to audition with. I've googled, but nothing really stood out. I want to audition with maybe something from Grease, or a musical like Hairspray or something. I just can't find any.

What I really need is some links to website that would help me. I had a perfect one earlier, but my page closed. I also need any great ideas. Please and thanks!

On this page below you will find tons of links and resources for scenes and monologues. Some links are not good because the website creator tragically passed away at a young age, but I still use it. There are lots of good resources still there.

Your school musical asks you to do a 1 minute monologue? I never heard of that before. OK. why not do something from The Wizard of Oz? Naturally, everyone want to play Dorothy, so go ahead, how about her speech to her three companions? Break a leg

There is many books you can buy, or you can even find in a local library. 2 that I have done is 1) Daddy Drinks Too Much and 2) You're Gone

AHH it's killing me that I don't remember the books that they were in, but if you have a drama teacher you can ask her about different books.
