Ok so im planning on writing a book on calories from food and fast food. I was wondering am i aloud to use food calories from anything? or is this copywrite infringement? i want to use fast food companies and restarurants. there are many books printed out there, i just want to know if i can do the same?

Do some research. There are several books out there already on this subject. I have one around here someplace. My aunt carries one with her everywhere she goes - she is into the Glycemic Index stuff.

I wouldn't be worried about the copyright issues as much as I would about the liability issues. Where are you going to get this information? How will you know it is accurate? There is a lot of research involved here as well as a lot of liability - not to mention that there are already books out like this. I would spend some time at a bookstore searching through calorie books and seeing what is available before I got too deeply into this. Pax- C
