I hear people say they "felt pregnant" or just knew they were....

Is this common? If so... how do you "know" or "feel"?

I kind of knew, but it wasn't a physical feeling, it was more of a "karma" thing...
See, I had a miscarriage before, and after that happened my hubby & I got a dog to kind of fill the empty space if you know what I mean....
Anyways, my dog died very suddenly, and when she did, I just had this feeling right then that maybe she had finished doing what she was meant to do, in a sense... that she was meant to leave us at that moment.
Turns out I was right. I had a positive test 5 days later.

I belive this is true sometimes and not at all other times. For my first pregnancy I felt like there was a lot going on it there from the day I concieved, I could feel movements with my hand in the first trimester. Most likely it was just my body working extra hard. Not to mention all my previous health conditions vanished, and I got a whole entire different set of symtoms. My second pregnacy, I didn't feel a thing, not even after 4-5 months, I barely felt a flinch, not a symptom in the world.

i knew, but i denied myself knowing - if that makes sense.

i had morning sikcness the day before and the day of getting a test done. my period was a week late. i didnt think it was possible, but to be honest i wasnt shocked at all when the test came out with two lines. it was just sort of a wake up call to stop saying "theres no way i could be".

i didnt really "feel" different as a person, but i knew there was something going on to my body but i just couldn't put my finger on it. kind of when you know you're about to get sick or something.

however, your mind can be deceiving. i had missed my period months before actually becoming pregnant for unknown reasons and had convinced myself that i felt pregnant. it was missing in action for a whole month, like it just skipped a month and test after test came back negative no matter how pregnant i may have tricked myself into thinking i was.

With my first, I was sure. I *knew* that I was pregnant. I was flying around on cloud nine for the whole day, but then I noticed some spotting like my period was starting, and I was devastated. I couldn't believe it!! I just felt like i was finally pregnant, and I was so sad. I couldn't stop crying!

Turns out I was right after all. It was just normal beginning pregnancy spotting. The test was positive, and 9 months later I had my son.

Now the next pregnancy took me completely by surprise! I had no idea, though we had been trying.

I guess it just depends! Good luck!!

Not the first time, but yes, definitely the second time.
It's hard to explain, but it was like I felt an energy charge in my pelvic area about 1/2 hr after.. and something just said in my head " bingo".. I remember it being so strong I cried because I just knew.
We weren't necessarily trying... so I don't think it was me wishing it. I know I was right because it was the only time we made love that month due to family emergencies and when I finally had an ultrasound it went right back to that day, time wise.
This was 28 years ago and I still remember it as a major moment in my life.

No not really, if so its all in your mind its not your body. Kinda like when people say you have a glow. Its just your thinking. BUT i did kindof have a sense i was pregnant but it wasnt until 1 day after i missed my period, but thats because me and my husband never use protection and we live life not caring what comes next. So i always knew their was a possibility. Im sure if someone was on birth control or something like that im sure they never had a feeling cause they didnt want to be prego!! lol

I had symptoms for sure but was in complete denial. I had dizzy spells and hot flashes before I found out but I as sure there was just no way. I even took 3 tests the day I found out just to make sure. Looking back yeah I knew I just didn't know at the time.

I knew - because after a lifetime of eating hot peppers with no problem, I was suddenly getting heartburn after eating ice cream.

I also knew from the beginning it was a boy. When the ultrasound tech said boy, I wasn't shocked at all lol - in fact, I told her before she said it that I already know its a boy.

i didn't know. was sure that we'd failed another month. really felt pre-menstrual like i was gonna start my period any minute. but then the days kept going by without it starting till in the end i took the test, even then still felt like it was gonna start, i think symptoms/feelings of early pregnancy and pre-menstrual feelings must be practically the same
