People over-estimate Morrison s weight gain.In 1967, he was only 140 pounds,( ten stone)Although his upper body musculature was very good, he was very long limbed and rangy.Photos from this period show that he could not have been much heavier than that.
He had a round face which made it appear as if he had puppy fat.
In three years he added no more than thirty five pounds, it was simply that as he was alcoholic, his face showed extreme puffiness. Photos oh his last days in Paris suggest that he was still small in the waist albeit with a beer belly. Again, a substantial belly gives a disproportionate impression of large weight gain.
My guess is that he would most likely have become obese ,however he was not anywhere near that yet. With age he would have put on weight in the midriff,as is natural.

I'm pretty sure he was only about 5'10". I don't know his exact weight near the end. I just remember he gained considerable weight and appeared extremely puffy, especially in his face. This was about 1971, while he and Pamela Courson, his gf, lived in Paris. He also died in Paris that year.
