That would slow the streets down some, wouldn't it. Not for a first offense, the second maybe, but the third, then no problem.

I don't think that the cars should be destroyed, but sold and the money used to help support programs like paying for extra patrols on the street. Or even setting up a local drag strip, with safety rules, car inspections, and timing lights. That way the kids will have a place to play and be safe. It would be a great gathering place. No alocohol allowed. I know that they have set up the same thing in some cities in the US, and it has had a big affect in getting people to play by the rules. good luck to you, mate.

I don not think that is fair to have the car destroyed. A jail sentnce and fine would be enough. But to tkae the car and destry is stepping to far in. Personally, I would hate to have my car taken away if I had a special street racing car.

first offense, no.
second offense, maybe.
third? oh, yeah.

if anyone were hurt by these 'hoons' as you call them, they should have to destroy their OWN cars. that'd learn 'em!

No, they shouldn't destroy them. It's a waste. Instead, confiscate their cars, auction them, and do something good with the money.
