When two or more people plan to carry out a mission...that's a conspiracy...whoever they are. Multiple people conspired to carry out the events of 9-11. that makes it a conspiracy. the question is: which people carried out which conspiracy, and which conspiracy account do you believe and why? I don't think the government account is believable, and I don't find other accounts fully explain the events either. There are too many unanswered question. Does the government have something to hide? If not, why have we not seen the multiple surveillance videos from around the Pentagon showing a plane hit the building? How is it that the Trade Center Towers fell at near free fall speed, as though the floors above met virtually no resistance as the fell? How did Saudi hijackers with little experience flying even small planes, and no experience flying airliners, manage to fly so successfully? Why did no Air Force jets respond to the planes off course as they had in dozens of other routine incidents over the past year? How is that the most fortified building in the world - the Pentagon - not get off even one shot, one missile as the plane approached in plain site on a clear day an hour after the first plane hit the WTC? It's a long list of unanswered questions.

I practically die from laughter every time I read one of these 9/11 conspiracy posts. Your conspiracy theories are so half-baked it is laughable. If you want a point by point rebuttal of the loose screw documentary "Loose Change" and other loony theories go to popularmechanics.com. Or watch the 9/11 conspiracy show on the History Channel.
Oh wait, the History Channel is a illuminati freemason jewish fascist psy-ops operation, and so is popular mechanics. And wait, I almost forgot, so am I, I am on their bankroll, and I have a computer chip implanted in the back of my head so that I will do their bidding.
My final point is that the common 9/11 conspiracy theorist rarely is able to understand basic science, especially physics. Have you ever heard of pancaking? If the support beams in a skyscraper heat up enough to weaken them (not melt) fail, and just one floor collapses, it creates a MASSIVE amount of energy falling to the ground, and then the building collapses downward floor by floor. The massive amount of air leaving the building as floors collapsed caused the dirt and debris to vacate very quickly. This debris is what conspiracy theorists point to as "evidence" of explosives. Nope, actually evidence of a textbook skyscraper collapse.
Go back to school and study engineering, then come back and we'll see if you are still a conspiracy theorist.

And wait, I almost forgot, so am I, I am on their bankroll, and I have a computer chip implanted in the back of my head so that I will do their bidding. Foiled again by the Bush Administration.
(Its also funny that conspiracy theorists think that the government is that competent and well-organized.)

Conspiracy is as common as dirt. I should imagine that the act of conspiring is perhaps more prevalent in the sprawling system of Government than in any other organisation. BUT, add to this the innumerous polarised political and religious groupings mixed up with the vested interests of industrial, financial and commerical giants who are all involved in conspiring in secret to do something to advance their interests, and you may just begin to get a glimpse of what the word 'conspiracy' means.
For example, the conspiracy behind the formation of the Federal Reserve is well documented but on a scale of 1 - 10 it scores 10 compared to 9/11 theories of 3.

If the government weren't involved at some level, then I'm Elvis. Science can not be swept under the carpet like a person can. We can easily say someone is a nutter, or hurl abuse, but science is definitive, and science says that steel & concrete buildings do not fall down through heat, and certainly not jet fuel. There are only three buildings in history to have fell in this way, and would you believe it, they were the towers, and building 7. Also, aeroplanes disintegrating on impact in PA & the Pentagon...only two planes in history have disintegrated on impact, and yes you've guessed it, they did so on September 11.
The towers were costing a lot of money as they were built in the 70's and were coated with asbestos. They were not user friendly for todays world with cables for internet and phone etc. To repair the asbestos and remove it safely would have cost upwards of $1 billion...safer for them to be pulled, as well as cheaper too, plus you have the added bonus of every American wanting to shoot/bomb something.
Airspace over the Pentagon is restricted, which means if you even fly a kite over it, you get shot. We're to believe a fekkin 737 was able to fly at full speed straight into it? Then dissappear entirely? Again, not scientifically possible.
The towers were insured a few months pre-collapse and hard drives found in the rubble show BIG cash movements before it went down. Where's all the gold? Why explsoions in the basement? Why damage to the foundations if it was a pancake collapse?
Mobile phones do not work at the altitude the planes were flying at so phone calls to the ground would be impossible, or at best have a 0.001 per cent chance of getting through.
Why was Bush not whisked away by SS agents when the news broke and he was informed? If your country is under attack, you don't sit there reading kids story books, you are away, and the President is safe and secure...though he already knew he was safe anyway, so why show any urgency?
On that very same day air defence was stripped away for training exercises. How very convenient.
Also, when the bomb blasts hit the UK Tube stations, there was a company there at the EXACT stations where the blasts went off, as well as the EXACT same time of the explosions...how on earth were they able to do this? Parallels between both attacks can be easily drawn.
The FBI were on site within 2 minutes to confiscate all security footage from neighbouring cameras of the Pentagon...if you look at the aerial shots of the Pentagon prior to the missile hitting it, you can even see the grass is worn down in a line where the flight path was...it looks like someone has walked the route to work out the best point of strike on the building...and it was the only side of 5 to be reinforced for such attacks. Given every other piece of evidence there is, that's a 20% chance.
For the FBI to work out that the suspected terrorists had flying lessons so quickly would have to be the greatest piece of police work since Lee Harvey Oswald was discovered in a theatre in 1963. Do you know who the CIA agent on the ground that day was? One George Bush. Good old Prescott Bush was responsible for holding Nazi war gold back in the day.
Of course, we then have every piece of legislature passed based upon the events of September 11, allowing bush and his team of ba5tards to do what they like, when they like...all in the name of patriotism.
No, definitely no conspiracy theory there...it must have been those pesky Afghanistans who are so expert at organising these events after dealing with the CIA for so long.
A best friend of mine has only yesterday refused to look at evidence of the day which points to government involvement because, in his words, "It would make him lose faith in humanity." And that attitude, is what is allowing these evil people to continue doing what they are doing.
We all accept and believe what we are told by the media, when if we'd only look at science, we would all see the truth.

Laziness. They read some website pushing a conspiracy, tying things together, leaving out all other evidence or information.
They never check the other, official sites or documents, and definitely skip or skim lightly any site that debunks their pet idea.
They aren't interested in the truth. That's why it's a "belief". That's why they take it so personally. Anything that challenges their pet theory is a personal affront and personal attack.
Skip past such people. There are some who get angry and take it personally when people say, "The world is really flat!"
It isn't, but they haven't checked that (I have, it isn't flat). Because they "believe" the world is spherical (nearly) and haven't checked for themselves ("know" rather than "believe"), they take it personally when someone disagrees with them.
Same problem, even though one is false, one is true (based on the evidence so far, of course).
It's part of their identity.
They can't give it up.

It is. Conspiracy has everything to do with control and power.
Conspiracy or plot, both refer to surreptitious or covert schemes to accomplish some end, most often an "evil" one.
A conspiracy usually involves a group entering into a secret agreement to achieve some illicit or harmful objective: a vicious conspiracy to control prices (ex: OIL).
A plot is a carefully planned secret scheme, usually by a small number of persons, to secure sinister ends as in a plot to seize control of a country (ex: IRAQ).
Hillary and Rudolph showed up at the event with Bush. They both showed up with a man they have nothing in common with and tried to act concerned for the city with tears that were not believable at all. Hillary lied about her daughters whereabouts and it went on and on. Come on.
It is a conspiracy and we have the proof in our faces, open your eyes.
The missing gold alone is reason enough for me to believe that many Jewish co-parts brought those buildings down, and without a trace got paid before they set off the bombs.

listen. i totally rejected conspiracy theories for years. there's no way, i thought. then when i actually looked into some of theories I discovered some truths and the more you find out about 9-11 the more clear it becomes that at the very least the government knew it was going to happen and allowed it.
the physics of the entire thing is impossible. from the buildings to the flight paths and plane manuevers. you can start there and the truth will be uncovered. that is if you are willing to search for truth and not accept authority as truth.
there are far to many strange coincidences and unanswered questions to accept the governments explanations.

Because there were so many questions raised and the government went into "secrecy mode" around that time. Everything became classified. They ignored questions and all the proof that could easily have quelched the conversations was never made public.
I'm from DC and my mother worked at the Pentagon. there are cameras EVERYWHERE. We heard about them confiscating the tapes from the gas station, highway, the hotels across the street and the mall (pentagon city). You couldn't show us anything but that crappy still motion camera? C'mon
I don't know what happened, but if someone accused me of something and I had a videotape to prove it... trust me you'd see it in a heartbeat.

It is not the FACT of the attack that's at issue but the MOTIVATION and IF/HOW MUCH WARNING authorities had to prevent the attack. Conspiracy theories are also motivated by grievous AND FAR MORE TERRIFYING erosions of civil liberties WORLDWIDE that have NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11 (See Internet gambling and the Mythical Link to Terror http://www.pokerpulse.com/legal/viewtopic.php?t=22) and the TERRIFYING way 9/11 continues to be used by the Evil Empire to justify wars in the Middle East (See Gambling Warriors for excerpts from texts and magazines on Afghanistan and Iraq http://pokerpulse.com/news/viewtopic.php?t=1864&sid=92ab53338e9e7dac16462b1b854e7136). That's just for starters.
