Swatting flies is boring...
I like to throw a rock at a bee (preferably hornets) nest and hit them with a tennis racket. Bees are a lot more fun because if you don't get them they get you... its raw.

I have never heard it called "swatting" before,,we here in the states prefer to call it "catching" (at least we call it that when the fielder actually catches the ball)...sometime referred to as "fielding"
