I'm not sure I know what an emo is after having read some of these answers. The best advise I think is to be yourself.

emo is considered 'taboo' in our society and if ur friends w/ an emo, then ppl c u as guilty by association

"emo" people are widely know as people that want to be away from others (i know its far from the truth) and other people want to avoid "emos" so i guess people are judging you on who your friends are and judging your friends on a steriotype

maybe because they can inluence you to be like them. Its not necesarily "a bad thing" but its better if you stay away from them...be a happy person,. not emo..

its not i never heard anyone say having emo friend were a bad thing i just dont agree with the so called "style"
