I cannot answer your question because no info about my January purchases was given.

Assume you mean between July and August u=instead, then
In July, you spent $187.68
In Aug, you spen $12.32 - $2.87(refund) = $9.45
or
$9.45/$187.68 x 100% = 5.04%

Your August purchases is only 5.04% of your July purchases

I assume you meant between July and August. If so,
July - August = 187.68 -12.32 + 2.87 = $178.23
