WHY is it that you DIVORCED WOMEN expect that most guys will handle your "package deal"?!?

I just posted a question about me having a girlfriend living with me that I don't get along with ... and y'all basically flamed me. So long story short you expect that a guy will have ZERO baggage or relationships and miraculously be rich and completely stable all at the same time as you happen to enter his life. On the flip side, you expect that this same guy will be more than willing to take on all your sh*t - EX HUSBAND, KIDS, maybe even ex-boyfriends you are still "friends with". Sure seems to me like we have a double standard in good ol' Jewmerica once again.

Now, I really know why there are scores of singlemoms littering the singles scene in America. On top of being completely f-d up, they expect the guy they meet to be perfect in every way. No wonder you can't find anyone to fit the bill. SHEESH!

You know how we know singlemoms are responding to this question? They say "you've got issues" That's what all singlemom bimbos say when someone points out their faults. What's up with this?!

Please don't put all of us women together. No one is perfect and some of these women are probably dealing with there own self-esteem issues as you seem to be. I think that allot of women are not willing to give up there kids for a man. I know I wouldn't. I love being a mom and make more than enough that I don't need a man in my life. I will not sacrifice myself or my kids to be something that I am not and do not expect a potential mate to do it either. I think that you have been hurt in the past by a similar situation and maybe you need a little therapy to help you get over it. Keep your chin high and hang in there. There is someone out there for you somewhere.

calm down first of all. Me as a single mom, I do expect that whoever I am going to be with understands that by choosing me they choose my child too. On the other hand I do NOT expect a man with no baggage, rich, or perfect. I expect someone who loves me. My current bf has two kids and I don't have a problem with it. Oh and he is by no means rich or perfect.

I agree with you, to some degree...I think both male and female alike look for the ideal mate, forgeting all of our own shortcomings, or like you say baggage. In reality no one is perfect, once you hit your 30's and so on it's likely you will meet someone with kids, a divorce, and surely some ex's. We all just need to face reality- this day and age we are in the same boat- and accept it!

Here's an idea: Don't date women who are divorced or have kids. Personally, I don't think single parents should be dating until their kids are grown anyway. It's not fair to the kids to have to deal with a series of their parents' boyfriends and girlfriends.

I can only speak for myself!!!! I do not expect anyone to take care of me or put up w/ my bullshit, as you may call it. I am a very fair person. Everyone has baggage, even single people.

You need to relax. We are not all that bad!

I didnt see your first question, but can you arrange to live alone for a while? I mean can you kick your girlfriend out? Just be with your own self and have some peace, reflect and do something worthwhile like volunteer, take a class or travel. You dont need what you describe and deserve better!

I feel for you buddy. Woman can be real pains in the asses. I know cause I am a woman. Woman build up the idea of marriage since they are little girls playing dress up. When things don't turn out so right in real life they harbor a bunch of hurt feelings. They then take out those hurt feelings on the next poor sucker who comes along. When that guy gets wise to them and leaves them that just adds fuel to their pity party and the cycle goes on and on and on. If you are living with a girl that your don't get along with get rid of her. Life is way to short to be unhappy.
