Supplement wiht omega 3s, your mind needs those. Either get it from fish or buy the supplements.
Also you can be deficient in vitamins and minerals, again, you should read thebook, it goes into all that.

I don't think it's a matter of increasing our memory--but rather, utilizing what we have! I reduced my anxiety w/doctor Rx'd anti-anxiety meds. I have no idea if that would pertain to you, but you might see a professional re that. If you have large amounts to memorize, I found something that I think is called "auto-genic" learning. (If somebody knows for sure, I'd appreciate a "Hello") First go over the material till about midnight. Set the alarm for 2 or 3 a.m. Then, in a semi-sleep state, go over the material again ONCE. Go to sleep; get up in a.m.; go take the exam and the material pours out PerFECTLY! This method seems to reduce my anxiety to a zero, thus allowing the memorization. Even in reasoning out problems, I at least had the facts readily at hand.

There' s not a whole lot you can put in your body to increase your memory, but if you have a bad memory you just need to focus and use memory techniques called mnemonic devices.
I strongly suggest you go wikipedia mnemonic devices and pick the best one for you, but the ones that work for me are The method of Loci, which is where you make a virtual room inside your head and place the things you need to remember inside the room in the order that you need them remembered (its really good for long lists)
the other method i use is called the rehearsal method. this method is good for remembering names and such. you just keep repeating the thing you want to remember over and over in your head and pretty soon you will know it by heart

I am always forgetting things. Except when I do yoga. It helps clear my mind and I find balance. Then all of a sudden I remember things! I don't know why (I think it's the deep breathing) But yoga really helps me with that problem. Good luck!
