I have some shells that I want to put in a cofee table and cover with a clear liquid that will harden. A friedn suggested liquid glass but I have no idea where to find it. Does anyone know? Or is there anything else I can use?

I can't remember exactly what it was called but I've used it before. It is a two part epoxy that can be found in the paint section at Home Depot. How it works is you lay out your shells on the table the way you want them, then you mix the two parts and pour it over your table and that's it. When it dries it will look like your shells are suspended in glass.

I seem to remember that acrylic was used for this. Its a powder and a liquid that when combined and left will harden into a solid plastic peice. clear unless you color it.
Its like a resin...or it is a resin...
Ask at the hardware store if they have any suggestions for you.

Go to a hobby shop and they will show you several products that dry clear. There is a glue, but I cannot remember the name. There is also a hot gun you might like.
