'United we stand, divided we fall'. Not sure who said it first but it's a very common motto.

It's very simple too. It applies to nearly everything. If people all work together we can achieve so much. But unfortunately, there will always be cases where people can't agree.

In reference to our flag and the fact we don't turn our back on countries who need our help: "These colors never run."
Others: "Freedom is not free."
"All gave some, some gave all." (also the name of a Billy Ray Cyrus song in reference to our military troops.)
