Is it possible to learn to trust people again? Or is there a point at which a person becomes too damaged to trust? If so, how does one know when/if they've reached that point?

I have a reason for calling myself abnormal. I had the chicken pox go to my brain in May 1996 and I survived. It is very rare for a person to have this happen, let alone to survive it! Therefore I picked the screen name "abnormal" when I was 12 and it stuck.

I do, but I'm pretty good at telling who I can trust and who I can't. There are plenty of good people out there, and you just need to start associating with them more. Not everybody wants to hurt you.

No, I don't, but I hold out hope that I will again. I think some of us may have been born without a creep detector and it takes a really bad episode or episodes before we learn our lessons. Many of my friends are able to filter out people instantly and never let it get to the point of distrust. I recently read, "The Secret," and am hoping that by changing my attitude back towards one of positivity that I will attract only those people who are worthy of my trust. I figure it's worth a shot. No I don't trust anyone really, there is one person that I trust completely. He's taught me how to trust again. Its difficult to learn to trust again but you just have to let yourself go and do it. Its a long proccess but its worth it in the end.

I use my intuition. If my intuition says that person is shady, then I don't trust them. Or if I feel that this person radiates alot of positive energy, you know like they light up the room when they walk in, then they are trusting people. Positive people are more trusting than negative people.

just make sure they dont lie and keep a record if they lie. if they lie more than 5% of the time. than u cant trust them.
