I had a vaginal delivery about 7 1/2 weeks ago, and i'm STILL bleeding! It never stopped, just continous bleeding since delivery. i went to my 6 week check up and they didn't seem to care AT ALL. they gave me an ultrasound and said everything was normal and the bleeding would just stop on it's own. i find that very hard to believe. i'm starting to get really tired all the time, i don't know if it's because of the bleeding or what. does anyone know of any conditions i could have? and what do i do?! i'm really scared!

I bled for almost 9 weeks after my son was born. Your doctor didn't seem concerned because this is totally normal. When I talked to my doctor about it, he told me that usually women bleed for 6-8 weeks, but some will go as long as 12 before they stop. If you feel tired take an iron supplement to replenish what you are losing in blood.

I was the same way, but I was doing stuff and carrying my 3yr old daughter. But I just took a couple of days off doing nothing, not even making the bed. Cause if you just stretch a bit, you can start bleeding. If it's not that, then you're just one of the unlucky ones. Some people bleed up to 10 or 12 weeks, which suck cause I know how it can be. Well hope you stop bleeding soon, good luck.

i don' know for sure coz i;m not a doc or anything but if it was me i would defo be going back to see my GP. it cant be right to be still bleeding and maybe you're feeling tired because your anemic or maybe it just because you've got a 7 week old baby! either way get it checked.

for some of us, the bleeding from the birth isn't quite ended by the time our first period comes along..... as long as it's not an extreme flow, it's probably quite normal.... tired from loss of blood is possible, but the doc would have noticed anemia or looked for it if you mentioned the tiredness.... all new mommies are tired anyway.....try to stop worrying and enjoy your new cutie!!!....

Your probably just doing to much, to soon. Even though you feel perfectly fine, it takes your body along time to recover after childbirth. I had this happen to me before, and after I slowed down, and didn't lift anything heavier than the baby, it stopped. Don't worry. There's not anything wrong with you, your just simply being to active.

You may want to get a second or even third oppinion if your Doc doesnt seem concerned, but in your gut you feel like something could be wrong.
