Now the crack is all rised, bulky and bloated now. The counter crack is very close to the sink.

It may be the wood underneath that has swollen. To prevent more you can reset the sink by taking it off, putting down a new silicone chaulk seal and resetting sink. If you don't want to do that, you might be able to freehand a silicone chaulk bead around the sink edge. If the seams away from the sink are showing signs as well, try using GelGloss every week. This puts a thin layer down over your laminate. Wears off (not that you see pieces coming off) so needs to be redone at least monthly and maybe more often (here's it's about a week)

until you can replace the entire counter top, the only temp fix you can do is chalking. You can use clear or colored. However, with it being rised, bulky and bloated, your going to have to end up replacing the whole top. Afterward CHALK it to seal all seams and around the sink and walls.

hope this helps

THE SEAM WHERE THE COUNTERS COME TOGETHER CAN BE CAULKED BY USING A SAME COLOR CAULK AT HOME DEPOT OR LOWES
