First you MUST tell him that you did not like that and you don't want it to happen again. If you don't tell him he will think it's okay.
Second you MUST tell someone in supervision and make sure it is documented.
It is not considered sexual harrasament unless you tell him not to do it again, and have it documented. If he does it again then you have cause to take it to the next level.

Tell him the next time something like this happens you are going to get him for sexual harassment.
And, the racial remark was just way out of line. I'm sure he would only deny it anyway.
Do you have a cell phone that can record in short video? If you do, you could at least get the verbal abuse that he is passing on by recording it on the phone.
If this is just a co-worker and not a boss, I would discuss it with the boss once you have proof of something other than your word against his.

Oh my gosh! I am so sorry to hear that! I would talk to him. You know tell him that you don't want to be touched and most importantly tell him that his racist comments are rude & unwanted. If I had been you, I would have smack him, but that's me. I don't put up with people saying crap like that, no matter who they are. If he keeps it up, I would go to your boss or to the police. You know you could get him on sexual harrassment. If something like that happened to me, I think I'd end up in jail, because I would have gotten into a fight with him! Good luck. I hope everything turns our well. Just remember that not all white people are like that. I'm white & I'm not racist. I really hate racism.

I think you already know what to do. Talk to a neutral person above both of you. Try to have the problem resolved ASAP. If you do not feel as if the problem can be addressed appropriately, then you need to file charges of sexual harrassment and follow it from there. I suggest that you try to take action as professionally as you can and not jump the gun as to sue the person. Many ppl sue when an issue can be resolved in a better fashion. Good luck.

Unless a third party heard and saw what he did there is not much you can do because you know he would just deny it if you told the police or the boss. But, if you have a witness, take that person with you to your boss and let him know what happened. There is NO EXCUSE for that kind of behavior in 2007!

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry that you had to experience this @$$hole touching u and giving you a bunch of crap. What a total jerk off!! He is damn lucky it wasnt me cuz I would've punched him in the nuts. What a jerk!!
I would go to the boss right away, is there anyone else who witnessed this? I am so shocked that there are still ***** out there who pull this b.s. The girl that answered before me is right, it IS racist AND its sexual harrassment. I hope you had a witness, because it makes your case stronger but even if you didnt have a witness, report this jerk..he needs his nuts pulled up and wrapped around his neck to choke him.

To some of those answers previously listed, don't say anything to him, may it be a threat to tell your boss, hr, or even telling him how it made you feel. He knew that it was unexceptatible --so ther is no need for further decussion with him. I would tell hr and my boss about the situation and if it continues, inform hr and a lawyer

Go to your supervisor immediately!!! It doesn't matter that he is white, a superior or anything! That is completely out of line and needs to be taken care of ASAP....sexual harrasment and racial prejudice all wrapped into one sick comment. Tell your boss and be sure to tell him that if is isn't addressed you will bring the police or a lawyer into it.

Hello Veronica, I live in Chicago as well. I think you need to contact human resources and report this issue. At least they can have it on file and maybe even get him fired or moved to another department.

Well there's this huge thing
about sexual harassment, especially
within an office, so I'd talk
to my boss about it, and if he didn't
have anything to say, or it continues,
I'd talk to the source, saying if you
don't stop, i will call the police.
Have you cell phone out, also,
for more of the threatening.
