ew y do poor people buy fakes...personally i think its a horrible thing to do, first it screwing over the companies and condoning the merchants illegal business, and its also kind of mocking the people who can actually afford stuff and dont have to look stupid carrying around a bag thats obviously fake

Stupid, illegal, horrible-quality, supporting terrorism, fake, condescending from others, and did I mention stupid? If you can't afford it, don't go buying something that looks like it. 1, it's not the real thing. 2, people will notice. 3, it doesn't make you cool. 4, it makes you look stupid. 5, read the article in Harper's Bazaar! It doesn't help the companies that produce the real thing either.

First off, I will start off by saying this...
Yes, knock-offs are cheaply made, and can be spotted from a mile away. However, people that buy knock-offs can't afford the real thing, so they settle for what they can get.

Now, don't get me wrong, I consider myself a very snobby person, and I typically refuse to wear anything that isn't name brand. But, the way you ask this question makes you sound like you are trying to prove your wealth to others, which is really tacky hun, sorry. It's just as tacky as buying a knock-off designer bag. Does it effect you if someone buys one, nope...not really no! So, one, get over yourself. And two, don't try to show off your wealth because in the end it just comes off really trashy and usually makes people you don't have any money in the first place.

Maybe the "poor " people like the bags, but they are not so lucky and stuck up as the other people who can afford to carry the real thing.
Personally - even if I could afford the Real thing - I probably wouldn't because it is like I told my daughter who wanted some Gloria Vanderbilt jeans ( for example) are doing is wearing someones name on YOUR a*s!!!!!!!!! I told here when SHE could afford to buy the jeans than she was more welcome to buy the dumb jeans and goody for her.
So as you can see I really don't give a flying flip about what the other people (rich) people are wearing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree with you kind of..they are ripping off the companies. but some people just dont have that kind of money so they go out and buy something that would normaly cost 1000$ for $50 that looks exactally the same. and how is it mocking people that can afford it? and if they are poor i am sure they would go out and buy a purse..even if they were fake. pshh...you probably have all fake bags...your just trying to sound all rich..guess what honey..no one cares!!! your as fake as thoes bags...

Personally I think you shouldn't buy those bags because they support terrorism and gang violence. That is one side of me but here is the other:

well the average joe doesnt have 800 dollars to spend on a coach or dooney and burke bag so if there is a more affordable fake one ( that looks somewhat real)why not??? i dont see a problem with it...why do you?

Very often when you buy knock-offs the money goes to terrorism, gang violence and what not.....Besides, it doesn't matter what brand your handbag is as long as it matches your out fit!!!

I don't know. My husbands brothers wife does that and with purses that aren't that expensive like Guess and stuff like that. I have alot of coach purses and A diaper bag I tried to sell her one once and she was like
I don't like it. In my head I was like right you don't like it but you like buying the cheap fake sh*t. She's weird. I think its embarrassing.
