Troy! (Which is now in modern day Turkey).

Because it is the setting for Homer's unsurpassed work, 'The Iliad', and because it was thought to be mythical for many centuries until it was found by Schleiman in the twentieth century!

Finding Troy is as much a phenomenon as 'The Iliad' itself!

I do not agree that Troy was in Minor Asia, there is archaeological evidences that Troy was in now days Bosnia. Also no where is written that Trojans were Greeks.
like Ancient cities in the World who are still settled, so Athens is the most beautiful and that is pure Greek!
