Morality to me has nothing to do with other people it has to do with how I act. I like the golden rule, do unto others, etc. It is very important to me to treat others with respect, kindness, and helpfulness. I also believe in leaving things better if I possibly can. I also think it is not my business to make other people like me, or to tell them how to live their lives.

Along the lines of this question here is one thing I have always found to be a morale dilemma: Killing is wrong. If you read what I think of as moral that fits well with my philosophy. People in the armed forces kill. They are following orders and I do feel that the leaders are the ones to blame. Is it still wrong, what about when it's for the right cause?

My morality is quite simple, actually. It should never change with respect to anything. Basically, I think that people should strive to work their hardest in all situations, should earn their own livings, and should not rely on others. What this means to me is that I generally look down upon those that rely on others for their life. I also look down upon income taxes...those are just ridiculous and extremely socialistic. This country was founded on the ideals of capitalism, and should not be forced to change those ideals.

There probably is a double standard with morality for men and women. Words like whore don't apply to men. Women are held to a higher standard. I don't know why, but it is true.
