1) US since the beginning of 19th century.

Then UK, German, France and nowadays chine and india are booming.

I think the US still does, in terms of real per capita income and wealth. The other countries that are mentioned usually have other exceptional things going on like GDP vs. GNP, oil resources, differences in exchange rate evaluation and so on. If the US is not at the top, it is near, and has been there for a long time. It certainly has the lowest unemployment rate. And no one makes a better stealth bomber.

However, it is only good for 1% of the population, because the things we do here really are highly profitable for a small number of people. Also, these people can afford health care, education, in other countries these are free.

If you look at growth, China has been the fastest growing country for the last 25 years due to an incredible increase in manufacturing. They don't owe their growth to increasing oil prices or monopolies in copper or chromium.

I would guess that CHINA has the largest GDP. But, technically, there are no individual economies. I would argue that the WHOLE WORLD belongs to the same economy(and I would be correct with that assertion). And, this is correct in every aspect you can think of.

In terms of what? Sheer size? The U.S. Income per capita? Luxembourg. Freedom from the red tape in general? Hong Kong. Freedom from corruption? Finland.
