Scream and run like hell.
As a ten year old I walked with a friend through the local churchyard (most of my family are buried there) and my friend (ex friend for a while) shouted "Look Out!" I saw what appeared to be a head about ten feet off the ground. I screamed ran like hell. I still do not know if I ran round the path to the gate or scrambled over an eight foot high railings and wall.
It was a gravestone with an urn on the top. funny thing is that even now over 50 years later I will not walk through that churchyard at night even if attending a service. I go round the other way

I believe in ghosts, but I am a very rational person, so I think I would just gawk and stare and doubt that I'm really seeing a ghost and wonder what the more "rational' explanation of this is. If I later decided that it was a ghost I saw, THEN I'd get scared.

If I would know that what I see is a ghost I will study the ghost very well.
So far whenever I see a ghost I do not know that they are a ghost I only know it after I look back and then figure out what I see. Sometimes I see them past by and I just do not mind them because I know that they are always around and I do not want to do anything because I do not want to connect with them.
Hahhhhhhhhhhhhh

ask it a question also I have heard that ghosts cant harm you it is only the living who can harm .
I also read in a book about ghosts that most of the time we would not know if they were ghosts unless the 1 vanished right in front of you , 2 they were flouting about 2ft of the floor or last but not least if they walked through a brick wall

I did see a ghost. It freaked me out but all I did was get freaked I didn't run or scream or anything. It's just an unbodied person so I just thought this person is trapped it's got nothing to do with me, then I was ok. It did give me the chills though.

I've never actually seen a ghost, but have sensed a presence before, on a number of occasions. I wasn't actually as scared as I thought I would have been, so in answer to your question, I really don't know what I would do!

Nothing mostly. When I think I have in the past I've either told it to 'clear off' or on one occasion 'stop it' as I thought it was mucking with the TV remote haha. For the most part, they rank with the rising damp and the wood worm and I don't give them much time of day either. Although, mine really don't like spring cleaning, I'm serious too. You start decorating in spring or clean out the airing cupboard and all kinds of stuff will go wrong. You'll get things thrown on you. You'll have your paint knocked over or your brushes go missing. They hate you trying to remove old wallpaper.

I'd ask the Spirit if it was me that he/she wants to speak to, and then, dependant on the answer I recieve, I'd either continue the conversation or contact the person the Spirit wishes to speak to. You have to realise, most Spirits don't walk around with clanking chains and saying 'wooooohoooo', they are usually wanting to act as guides to the person they want to contact. Or perhaps they have come to help someone through a difficult time in their life. I know I wouldn't be afraid, if the person never hurt you when they were alive, they most certainly can't hurt you once they have passed to Spirit.

sit down and try and talk to it. I think it would be able to tell a few stories of what has happened in it's life.
I have seen a ghost before and it didn't scare me. It was a relation of mine, I just felt relaxed and happy to see that she has gone to a better place and wasn't in anymore pain.
