Hi, Lily, we grew up on a lake and ate fish several times a week, summer and winter, always pan or deep fried. When dad wasn't working, he was on the lake, either fishing from a boat or ice fishing. For years I couldn't even look a fish in the eye, I was so sick of them. So I've never been much as an adult on fish, though I will go occasionally to a Friday fish fry at the local diner and eat a couple, and I love to eat fresh fish that we catch at the lake. Very LIGHTLY fried. Seafood? Haven't had the occasion to be around it too much. Would love to try a lobster just once. The smelt will be running this spring, and when you fry those lightly in oil, they are like eating popcorn, bones and all.

I don't like fish to be very fishy at all. Talapia is my favorite.
I make it with a spinach/feta cheese stuffing. Add some olive oil, some spices, and a few currents. DELICIOUS!
Talapia is a very sweet fish, doesn't need to be disguised by lemon or other ingredients to hide it's delicate taste. It's a white fish that's nice and light and cooks very quickly.

The only fish I really eat is my dad's beer battered filleted fried fish. Oh it's been so many years! Who's up for some late night fishing?

steamed red snapper or turbot

followed by good, old Southern fried catfish either with traditional cornmeal or Louisiana "cracker" batter (not actually crackers but a way of doing it)

followed by this Russian carrot, onion, and sardine casserole (sounds horrible but actually delicious)

followed by gefilte fish
