I was thinking of forbidden love, 2 people who cant be together because of their different race or because they are homosexuals.

but is that a good idea, and does anyone else have any good ideas?

Write something that you know about, not just 'an idea'. Use your own experiences.

forbidden love is actually a good idea, however it's been done before and redone and even made into a movie... Romeo & Juliet. if you want something unique, try brainstorming.... sitting down, with a piece of paper and just writing down whatever comes to your mind, no matter how silly it may seem, just let all of your thoughts flow onto the paper and after a little while, read it and see if there are any ideas you like. or even try something that may seem a little weird, like browsing the net.... and writing down random words from the different websites that pop up or something....

i find the best stories aren't forced out, they (they meaning stories) come to us (us meaning people or people's minds) when they're ready.

Good Luck.

You should not write until you have an idea, why ask others for their ideas, create your own. Writer's write, they don't ask other writers for ideas.
