Ok, I'm deciding between getting a Guinea pig, or getting a kitten.
I'm looking for something that...
- cuddles.
- is cute.
- playful.
- not too noisey.
- not too smelly.
- won't go nuts if i try to handle it.

Cats are a bit more of a longer commitment just so you know. You probably don't want to hear this but they are about the same other than that on everything but the price.
Guinea pigs and cats both require clean up. G. pigs have shavings in their cage that have to be cleaned and cats have litter boxes and other things like cat beds. However g. pigs don't require scratching posts, litter boxes, or large... and sometimes expensive- beds.
Both are cute and cuddly... depending on the animal itself. If you want it to "baby it" and to be able to care for it more I'd go with the g. pig in which case you may consider getting a large cage and just getting 2 b/c they can get lonley. Some cats will feel that they own you and will probably not want to be held as much. Though I've seen some cats who LOVE to be held and some g. pigs who HATE it.
I can't make your decision for you but I'd go with the g.pig, good luck.

Guinea pig kitty kat.
I like cats, but they can be really stinky
Guinea pigs can't easily be played with, nor is very cuddly
Kittens are really cute, but they grow up.
guinea pigs would be less nosey, cuz there in a cage.
1 main reason i am agianst the owning of guinea pigs is that
they are caged animals, and I think cages are cruel.
Sorry I can't ber much more help..

go for the cat definitely...you might look at adopting a kitten/cat from the animal shelter. Kittens are very playful. They are trained to use the box pretty quickly, usually the momma has already taught them, you just have to show them where it is. The cat box isn't that big of a deal. You just scoop it every two or three days and change the litter totally about once a wk. I have sifting cat box liners which are easy to use. I had both of my cats declawed in the front paws when they got spayed and neutered. They are strickly indoor cats, that is important if you want to declaw them. They are super awesome. They meet me at the door and sleep w/me at night. They are cuddly, but on their own terms. They have their own personality.

well.. that's kind of both pets! guinea pigs will get to know you the more you handle them the more personable they will become. they might still go nuts if you try to handle them - pick them up out of their cage, but two huge hands are lunging down at it, i'd be a little scared too 8P

you need to clean their cage regularly, but you need to do the same for kittens with their litter box.

i have three guinea pigs of my own, so i'm rather partial to them. kittens need to get shots (i almost said shorts) and guinea pigs don't need to unless they're sick.

each pet has its pros and cons. one of my piggies sits on the back of my neck against our dome chair when i watch tv. my cat hates to be touched. so i guess it also depends on the animal too!

good luck (and pick the guinea pig LOL) just playin

Kitten.
It cuddles.
Is totally cute!
Is definitely playful.
Is sorta noisy.
Is less smelly than a guinea pig, trust me. Just keep the litter box clean.
It won't go nuts if you try to handle it. Guinea pigs do.

Just about any little critter will fulfill your needs, except maybe lizards and fish.
Both Guinea Pigs and cats are good pets. You can actually train a Guinea Pig to use a litter box if you want it to have the freedom of your house. Of course, they do tend to chew on things unless you train them not to. Cats tend to scratch on things if you don't train them not to. If you get a cat, please do not have its claws removed. We trained ours only to scratch on her scratching post.
As for the going nuts if you handle it thing, all animals take a while to get to know you. If you are patient, persistent, consistent and kind, you won't have a problem.
Oh yeah, both cats and piggies are good at keeping themselves clean.

I'd go for the kitten as i my mother has a guinea pig and the squeak all the time and u have to get 2 as they can be really nasty if they are on their own, u need a cage in doors big enough for them but a run also in the garden as they need that time to run around, they need vitamins and u have to clean them out every couple of days, they need fresh food too, as well as the dried stuff. but i don't want to influence you decision, it totally your choice lol xxx

a stuffed animal. they're cuddly, soft, easy to clean (throw 'em in a washer) and if you clean 'em from time to time they wont smell, they're not noisey at all, they're cute, they wont go nuts if you try to handle it, you dont have to worry about it misbehaving or "going potty" anywhere either. also, you don't have to worry about feeding/water it. and the best part of all... you can get one shaped like ANY animal.... and they're so easy to take care of that you can have as many as you like.
