soft shelled turtles breathing and sleeping?

Question

if soft shelled turtles can only hold their breath for about 5hrs how can they sleep w/out sufficating?? i need t oknow because i plan on getting a soft shelled turtle.

You need to talk to a pet store about these little guys ok or do your homework buy a book on these guys so you will know what and how to take care of them. I have a box turtle, another good choice for you to think about.
