i'll extend if i haven't gotten very many answers to a question in the stupid 3 day limit it's given....got that issue right now...only 2 answers to one of mine.....
i pick best answer if there's clearly one

When it is too hard to choose I sometimes use the vote. Usually I pick a best answer.
If I feel like a better answer is out there, I'll extend and pray that somebody finds their way to the back pages of Y!A where my question will be sitting . . .

I have always picked my own best answer. I did extend one question tht I needed an answer to hoping more people would come forward.
