Its strange, there's just something that makes people perfer dogs, over cats? but what is it? Why?

Not sure why this is in the "theatre and acting" sub-category...
but here goes:

Dogs are "pack animals" are will bond with humans - creating a sort of brotherhood. They're willing to be trained and will function as companion and protector to their pack-mates (owners).

Cats are more independent... and while they don't require as much attention as dogs - they also seem to be more like your pet on THEIR terms.

Your right most people do prefer because cats. Once you've had a watch cat you'll never fo back. They can teach you to fetch the paper. They never leave the seat up. You can get more in an apartment or a house, for that matter. They never make a mistake and are always right. You never have to date one. When they're on your lap you're not on the floor. They don't have mud on their feet. When the atmosphere in your home is hostle and not fit for a child, they warn you earlier so you can correct it. Or they leave. They don't take no hanky panky, you either behave or get out. If you let them out in the backyard of your apartment, without any training and never having seen a tree before, they can find one and climb all the way to the tippy top. Let's see a dog do that. They'll get some friends and sing beneath your window all night to help you sleep and they'll howl if you tell a good joke. And they can act better with plenty of drama and stage presence. For me it's because my dog is loving and wants to cuddle and gets happy and excited to see me and doesn't stray or get into screaming matches at night or spray a disgusting smelling urine all over the place or need a litter box in the house and likes to go for walks and play in the park and in the yard. But, there are a lot of cat lovers out there, believe me. I've had cats in the past but prefer dogs for the reasons I mentioned.

Dogs are the type of animals that love you for you.. there isnt many things or people that you can say that about.. but you can say that about most dogs. Cats.. they dont care what you think of them or who you are.. just feed them or else kinda att. .. who would want that.. we get that enough in life by EVERYONE else! Plus cats are just strange.. its like hanging out with a dead head when you are sitting around a cat...

I think it is because dogs jump all over you and kiss you and wag their tales, so you know they appreciate you and are glad you are home. A cat will do what he/she wants to and it is definitely not going to have anything to do with your feelings whatsoever. I love cats, by the way.

I personally believe that dogs are more loving and understand more of what their owners say to them. Plus, cat hair is so fine and they shed soooo much it is hard to keep them clean. I think that dogs are easier to train and easier to adapt. They are very intelligent and are not as aggravating as cats are. I cannot stand for cats to stay under my feet when I am trying to walk, it is like they just do not learn.

I think it´s because dogs are always available to receive and give affection. Dogs makes what your owners wants (with some exceptions) while cats make only they want to do. If they want to receive affection, they do, but if they don´t want to do it, nobody can force them.

Dogs, almost have similar human characteristics.

They are cuddly, warm, and "kissy," they appreciate what humans do for them.

They will play "catch the ball," with humans, even if they don't want to play!

They are man's and woman's best friend. Dogs are always "there for you."

Your question starts off with an assumption. I like cats better, so your question needs some work.
