"just get over it" or "it's not that big of a deal" i hate both of those because they are just writing you off. obviously it's a big deal to me if i am upset about it.

The worst advise was when I owed a friend money and I couldn't pay him, he said I should rob a bank so I could pay him (that friendship didn't last very long!).

The best advise was from parents who encouraged me to get a degree in Electrical Engineering (which is what I currently do). Thank you Mom and Dad.

BEST:

I think that one of the best pieces of career advice I received was when, just before taking my first “real” job after college, my business school professor advised me to “really listen for the first six months.” Meaning, you should take stock of new situations before getting involved in any politics or “battles” and pay attention to how the corporate culture in the company works.

WORST:

Buy ENRON stock.

Worst advice ever was to imagine people naked while you're up on stage to prevent stage jitters.

Best advice was to enjoy the actual wedding day and let everyone else stress over the little things!

The worst: In the fifth grade I let my mom convince me to wear an out fit she said was "cool." It was an out fit she has from when SHE was in the fifth grade!

The best: Before you insult someone you should always walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you insult them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Worst: Parents always have your best interest at heart. No they don't...

Best: To follow your gut and you will make the right choice.

Thank goodness I did!

The best was not to add onto the house using the concrete patio as a foundation. Good contractor and coding answers.

The worst was when I have asked just about anything else.
